Background:
Dr. Antonopoulos completed a pharmacy practice residency (PGY-1) in Internal Medicine, with a focus in cardiology.
She then became an Assistant Professor of Pharmacy Practice at Long Island University and a clinical pharmacist at the
Department of Veterans Affairs hospital in New York City. During this time, she became an APhA Pharmacy Based Immunization
Program Trainer and certified hundreds of pharmacists in the NYC metro area. She was also an Adjunct Assistant Professor of
Medicine at New York University Medical Center where she was involved with cardiovascular research and precepted medical residents and students.
With a passion for public health, she has participated in several medical missions trips globally and this led her to ultimately pursue her MPH
degree in Global Health Leadership. She joined the US Medical Affairs team at Sanofi in 2009 working in cardiology and in 2019, she moved over to
the vaccines team. Marilena, as your scientific expert, also known as Medical Value and Outcomes Director (MVOD), partners with healthcare providers
to ensure cutting-edge science translates into impactful patient care.
